Set up a test wallet

If you already have a crypto wallet, you can use it. Otherwise, follow these steps with Safepal wallet.
  1. Install Safepal.
  1. Create a new wallet for testing (you will be asked to set a 6-digit password in case of safepal).
  2. Once the wallet is ready, do the backup. You can choose cloud backup or do manual (In manual you need to note down the mnemonic phrase shared - it acts as a master key to access/recover the wallet).
Your wallet is ready to test the payer flow.

Note -

Never share your recovery phrase or private key with anyone. Cray does not need either to help you test a payment.

Switch to Base Sepolia for Testing

  1. In Safepal, open the setting icon
  1. Go to Custom Network
  1. Add Base Sepolia network
Now you need to get some testnet tokens to test the end to end payment flow with Cray.

Get testnet USDC from Circle

Circle provides testnet tokens for development and testing. Here’s how to get it.
  1. Open the Circle Testnet Faucet
  2. Select USDC as the asset, Base Sepolia as the network.
  1. Copy your wallet’s public address from Safepal, you will be redirected to find the right wallet address
  1. Find Base Sepolia, copy the address, and paste it into the faucet’s Send to field.
  1. Click on the Send 20 USDC button, return to your wallet and check that the test USDC arrived.

Test Payment Flow

  1. Use Cray’s test environment and test API credentials to create a payment session.
  2. Display the QR code on your screen or POS test interface.
  3. Scan and pay from your wallet.
  4. Review the payment details shown in the wallet. Confirm that the network and token match the test environment.
  5. Approve the transaction in your wallet.
  6. After approving the transaction, verify that the order status updates through Cray’s Order Status API.
